Keeping everyone safe during these challenging times means we need to do some things differently. While we continue to deliver support services, aspects of how we work with you have changed. This includes the following:
- Our team will call each time prior to providing a support service to ask a series of health questions relating to COVID-19. The answers to these questions may impact how we can support you. Where a phone call is not answered, our staff will travel to you/the location of your support, maintaining a distance of 1.5 metres to ask these questions.
- Face-to-face community access is restricted to essential activities such as shopping and medical appointments.
- Where you are required to be in self isolation but still require support services, one of our Area Managers will be in contact with you.
- You are required sit in the back seat of vehicles when being driven by support workers. Cars will be wiped down with sanitising cleaner before and after each trip.
- Where practically possible, we will be using technology to deliver support services.
- If you are currently accessing other group services (not provided by Magenta), we are unable to offer support. If you are accessing other individual (one-on-one) services, we are able to offer support.
- For essential services, our staff will be following strict health protocols, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks and gloves. Where you are required to provide PPE and/or other requirements needed for the provision of essential services, our staff will communicate this to you.
